Are you passionate about person-centered care and want to make a real difference for patients with disabilities? We are now seeking an engaged and experienced General Practitioner (GP) for our SMO clinic in Kista – one of Region Stockholm's special clinics for coordinated medical care for patients with disabilities.
About the assignment
The SMO clinics are a unique initiative within the region, offering a coordinated care model for patients with extensive disabilities and complex needs. Here, you will have the opportunity to work in a way that truly makes a difference – with plenty of time, close teamwork, and structured conditions for continuity.

As a GP at the SMO clinic, you will:
- Work in a way that provides the conditions to offer good care to a patient group with complex needs
- Work with a smaller number of registered patients
- Collaborate with a nurse
- Enjoy independent work with great freedom under responsibility
- Have the opportunity to work from home one day per week
- Develop specialized competence in coordinated care
- Receive patients for scheduled visits and annual check-ups
- Conduct rounds at LSS residential care facilities
- Participate in regular training, supervision, and exchange of experiences with other SMO clinics in Stockholm
Usual work as a district physician at a health center may also occur.

- Broad general medical competence
- The ability to work independently and make well-balanced decisions
- An interest in complex patient cases and coordinated care
- A commitment to creating good care conditions for patients with disabilities
Kista Health Center is a well-functioning health center that has existed since 1977 with approximately 11,100 registered residents. We employ doctors, district nurses, reception nurses, assistant nurses, medical secretaries, receptionists, rehab coordinators, and CBT psychologists. Employment type:
Permanent employment. Full-time. A lower percentage of employment can be discussed if you as an applicant wish. Probationary employment may apply. Start date according to agreement.
Requirements specification:
We are looking for you who are a licensed physician with specialist competence in general medicine and eligibility to practice within Swedish healthcare. Experience of working in Swedish healthcare, preferably primary care, is an asset. Experience with the TakeCare medical record system is an asset.

The position is filled subject to the condition that it does not need to be used for internal relocation, according to current regulations.
For patient-facing work within Stockholm County Healthcare Area:
- A register check is applied before the decision on employment according to SLSO's overarching instruction for register checks at employment.
- Employees who will have patient contact must undergo a new employment examination, according to current directives, which takes place through the occupational health service before employment.
- In addition to Swedish professional license, good knowledge of the Swedish language corresponding to level C1 according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) is required. The same requirement is guiding for non-licensed personnel with patient contact.
